About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Yard Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout our manufacturing and recycling facility. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, clean, and organized working environment. The Yard Custodian will perform routine cleaning, waste removal, and basic facility upkeep in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
Familiarity with required PPE, including hard hat, reflective vest, steel-toe boots, ear and eye protection, and utility gloves.
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or recycling environment.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Ability to work independently and follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors in production areas, break rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, and office spaces.
Collect and properly dispose of recycling materials, production waste, and general trash in accordance with facility protocols.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and break rooms; replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Conduct general warehouse and equipment cleanup at the end of each shift.
Ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and completing minor repairs.
Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Report maintenance concerns, hazards, or safety issues promptly to appropriate personnel.
Assist in preparing the facility for inspections or audits by maintaining cleanliness standards.
Support facility shutdowns or deep-cleaning operations as required.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support overall facility operations.
