About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Yard Attendant in Myersville, Maryland. The Yard Attendant is responsible for loading, unloading, receiving/releasing new/customer equipment and attachments, maintaining the equipment yard for easy access; directing the delivery of new equipment, returns. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the grounds of the service facility. Seeking candidates with p revious experience operating construction equipment and forklift; High school diploma or GED, preferred. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned. Starting Compensation Range: $26.39 – $33.18 per hour Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, and other business needs. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include participation in performance-based incentive programs, such as discretionary or non-discretionary plans. Must have an excellent driving record.

Physical requirements must be met for the Y ard Attendant job, including regularly being required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
