About The Position

The Yard Associate performs Dock Duties, Housekeeping and Grounds keeping duties, as well as safety inspections for the branch using an established check out list. Ensures all Sammons standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction. Requirements

• Willingness to learn
• Mechanical aptitude on forklift or related equipment repair experience
• Logistical mindset and clear communication skills and attention to details
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to participate in on-call support as needed

Nice To Haves

• Trade school or Hyster-Yale certifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing equipment, including but not limited to loading and unloading equipment, attachments, batteries and charges at the loading dock.
• Monitor the status of all new equipment, to include parking the equipment in a designated area, checking safety related items and listing the bin location number on incoming documentation.
• Maintain inventory control sheet by tagging equipment appropriately.
• Perform inspections on equipment prior to delivery, to include checking safety items.
• Monitor the flow of all new, used, and rental equipment in the branch.
• Partner with managers to ensure all outgoing delivery documentation is accurate.
