About The Position

The Yard Associate plays a key role in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse and landscape supply yard. This position is responsible for loading and unloading delivery trucks, operating equipment, and assisting customers with product selection and loading. Success in this role requires strong organization, the ability to plan ahead, and effective prioritization of daily tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift certification required
Basic math skills
Proficiency in English
Familiarity with inventory processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be at least 18 years old

Nice To Haves

Heavy equipment experience preferred
Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred
Point of Sale (POS) experience a plus
Basic computer skills a plus

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as loaders and forklifts to move and load products
Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and yard
Ensure all materials are properly identified, packaged, and labeled
Inspect materials visually to confirm quality standards
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
Plan, organize, and prioritize daily workload
Complete required documentation at the end of each shift
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with loading and product questions
Follow company policies and procedures and submit reports as needed
Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others
Demonstrate punctuality and consistent attendance
Perform other duties as assigned
