About The Position

Landscapers Depot, an Outdoor Living Supply company located in Kingston, NH, is looking for a full-time Yard Associate. The ideal applicant will have some experience in the landscape/hardscape industry, with some knowledge of concrete pavers and retaining walls, natural stone and general building products. This position is for someone who enjoys working outside, helping customers, loading trucks and managing inventory in a working retail yard.

The right candidate will have the ability to work outside operating small front-end loaders, forklifts and loading equipment and inside/outside assisting customers with product section, processing orders, and providing support to the customer service team when needed.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage depending on qualifications and experience and a full benefits program with PTO and paid holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in English
• Basic Math skills
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to routinely lift 50 - 75 lbs. without assistance
• Standing/walking continuously
• Stooping/bending often

Nice To Haves

• Forklift and equipment operation experience is a plus
• Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking strongly preferred
• Point of Sale experience is a plus
• Computer knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading the truck per the delivery schedule
• Organizing warehouse and landscape supply yard
• Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and warehouse
• Organize, planning and prioritizing daily work
• Operating machinery such as propane forklift
• Assisting customers on a daily basis
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
• Handle returns of merchandise
• Answer incoming calls from customers and assist them over the phone
