About The Position

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a growing Lumber and Building Materials company, is seeking an experienced Yard Associate. Under direct supervision, the qualified candidate will perform a variety of yard activities including, operating a forklift to move product and material throughout the yard and providing customer service to Tibbetts Lumber customers. You may also drive a non CDL truck. Must have a valid drivers license and DOT Card. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist customers in the location and loading of product Review materials loaded against invoice or requisition; complete and route paperwork appropriately Move product/material throughout the yard ensuring placement in correct areas Ensure product/material is well stocked of inventory at all times Perform routine clean-up of yard Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers at all times All other duties as assigned Experience Required: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Six (6) months of experience with performing these or similar tasks; or equivalent combination of training, education and experience OSHA Forklift Certification (training is provided) and experience building frame packs Valid drivers license and DOT med card Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of various types of lumber Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment Knowledge of safety procedures while performing tasks Strong customer service skills Knowledge of company products/inventory available at work location Ability to read and understand invoices and requisitions Benefits: Tibbetts Lumber offers an excellent benefits package to our employees including: Competitive wages Medical insurance Dental insurance Life insurance Short & Long Term Disability 401(k) plan Vacation, Sick & Holiday pay Health Savings Account Legal Disclosures: Tibbetts Lumber Co. Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Six (6) months of experience with performing these or similar tasks; or equivalent combination of training, education and experience
  • OSHA Forklift Certification (training is provided) and experience building frame packs
  • Valid drivers license and DOT med card
  • Knowledge of various types of lumber
  • Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures while performing tasks
  • Strong customer service skills
