Position Summary The Yard Associate interacts with customers while inspecting various grades of material upon delivery into the yard. Sort and upgrade materials to meet quality standards per established protocols. Operate small equipment as needed to process and prepare material prior to shipment. Schedule Monday – Friday, Weekends as needed 7:30am to 5:00pm

Requirements

Six months’ small equipment experience is preferred
Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge
Basic computer skills
Good interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Accuracy in operation and attention to detail
Knowledge in inventory control
Interest in Obtaining a CDL B License

Responsibilities

Sort, process and inventory material (Non-Ferrous Metals) by operating shears, balers, loaders and forklifts
Assist with purchasing various grades of recyclable materials from customers.
Support customers with the unloading of materials.
Assist with preparing, packing, and loading materials for shipment.
Sort and process materials in accordance with company standards.
Operate equipment such as loaders, forklifts, or other machinery as needed
Assist with vehicle and appliance processing activities
Conduct basic inspections and documentation as required
Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with material tracking
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
