About The Position

The YMCA of Middle TN is looking for a passionate and organized Y-Quest Coordinator to lead middle school programming and create a fun, supportive, and transformative environment for kids. This is a full-time, in-person position located at the Y-CAP office in East Nashville and William Henry Oliver Middle School, including an after-school component requiring onsite presence Monday–Thursday from 3:30pm to 6:00pm. A flexible schedule between these shifts is required to support administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum age 21 with a valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s degree (related field preferred) with 1-2 years of youth development experience, OR high school diploma with 4 years of experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead Y-Quest after-school and summer programming, including curriculum implementation and staff supervision.
• Build relationships with students, parents, and community partners like Metro Nashville Public Schools and the Nashville After School Alliance.
• Track attendance, manage data in Salesforce/Apricot, and coordinate transportation when needed.
• Recruit, train, and inspire program staff and volunteers.
• Oversee administrative tasks like payroll, reporting, and inventory.
• Be a role model and advocate for social-emotional learning and community engagement.
• Supervision of middle school children in an after-school setting
