About The Position

Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians. Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images. Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to performing procedures. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Follow radiation safety protocols and utilize appropriate shielding to minimize exposure. Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly. Review images for quality and accuracy before submitting them for interpretation. Accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations. Assist radiologists and other healthcare providers as needed. Maintain a clean and organized imaging room and ensure equipment is ready for use. Respond to patient needs and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field required.
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Valid California Radiologic Technologist license issued by the California Department of Public Health Radiologic Health Branch.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent preferred.
