Independently performs all routine procedures, including localizations as needed. Uses correct anatomical positioning, including proper shielding and collimation to ensure quality radiographs. Selects correct technical factors to produce optimal radiographs with the lowest amount of radiation. Performs specialized exams that require sterile techniques. Screens patient for appropriate medical history. Performs quality assurance testing and documentation as needed. Explains procedure to the patient in lay terms gives post-exam instructions, and instructs patients on protocols for receiving results of their tests. Completes necessary fee tickets with CPT and diagnosis codes. Completes necessary consent forms, fills out all other forms and requisitions accurately, and files reports. Keeps exam room stocked appropriately with necessary supplies Ability to manage timelines and critical deadlines Demonstrate the ability to work independently, take initiative, and use good judgment Associate Degree in Radiology required (Bachelors degree preferred) Must possess valid ARRT certification, CRT and CRTF credentialing, and CPR certification required Valid and current Radiologic Technologist license 5 years experience in a busy outpatient imaging center performing general X-Ray procedures Ability to work independently Experience with X-Ray film processing Skilled in all X-Ray positioning, X-Ray exposure controls, and Radiation Safet
