About The Position

This position is responsible for taking radiological images and pushing the images through the system. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for operating the medical equipment used to capture x-ray images. Positioning the patient and the equipment in a way that protects patient and employee safety. Detailed knowledge of x-ray procedures and the ability to explain the procedures to patients. Must follow regulations for protecting patients, coworkers and themselves from unnecessary exposure to radiation from the equipment and environment. Expectations Maintain confidentiality. Follow the chain of commands. Prioritize tasks by level of importance to meet deadlines. Complete tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Limited x-ray license (minimum)
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations set by state, federal and local law
  • Understanding of EPM/EHR system
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making
  • Skill in analyzing, planning, organization, and prioritization
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships
  • Skill in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to read and interpret medical documents
  • Ability to set priorities among multiple requests
  • Ability to interact easily and effectively with others
  • Ability to share expertise and knowledge with staff to maintain and improve workflow
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients and/or co-workers

Nice To Haves

  • Skull imaging license preferred
  • Experience in an Orthopedic Practice preferred
