About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable X-Ray Technologist to join our client in Rochester, NY for a 13-week contract assignment. This role is ideal for candidates who demonstrate strong technical expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Active Radiologic Technologist license in New York State
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA or ARC
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Dependability and professionalism
• Ability to follow imaging protocols and physician instructions
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety
• Basic computer skills for documentation and imaging systems

Nice To Haves

• Hospital or acute care imaging experience
• Weekend and on-call experience
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems
• Commitment to patient comfort, dignity, and safety
• Clear and compassionate communication with patients and families
• Delivery of accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to imaging procedures
• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal image quality
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively
• Ensure radiation safety practices for patients, staff, and self
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in imaging and patient records
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and the healthcare team
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging equipment and work areas
• Respond to on-call and callback needs as required
