About The Position

A school speech therapist, also known as a speech-language pathologist , is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students within a school setting . They work to help students meet their communicative needs and achieve their educational goals. Conducting screenings and evaluations to identify students with communication disorders. Analyzing assessment data to determine eligibility for speech-language services. Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with communication needs. Providing direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student progress. Participating in IEP meetings and providing input on student progress and needs. Consulting with teachers and parents on strategies to support student communication. Communicating with other professionals, such as specialists and administrators, to coordinate services.
