About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in English - Technical Writing
  • 1-3 Years experience in the procedure writing required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 Years experience in technical/procedure writing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets technical, training and procedural prose.
  • Organizes and groups similar sections of prose.
  • Rewrites prose as simple and straightforward text.
  • Assembles sections of standard operating procedure consistent with established template.
  • Proofreads and corrects standard operating procedure for grammatical, typographical, and compositional errors adhering to formatting standards and guidelines.
  • Maintains paper and electronic files of all documentation.
  • Works directly with management to obtain, clarify, and gain approval for information within the training documentation.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
