About The Position

Williams Consulting, LLC (WCLLC), a government contracting firm, is seeking a Writer Editor 3 to develop, edit, and finalize high-quality scientific and technical documents in support of a federal prevention-oriented public health initiative. The Writer Editor 3 will play a critical role in ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all project deliverables prior to submission to government stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring experience writing and editing technical or scientific materials, performing rigorous editorial quality control, and tailoring content for diverse audiences, including technical, policy, and non-technical. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree English, communications, education, public health, and health services research
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail across scientific, technical, general documents and deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt content style and formatting to align with the intended medium, audience, or publication
  • Experienced in final review of materials for technical accuracy, style, and proper organization
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project) and Adobe
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and accountability
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Must provide three (3) management references that can attest to qualifications
  • Background investigation required

Responsibilities

  • Writes and/or edits scientific documents and other general or technical materials/deliverables
  • Analyzes the subject matter and audience to plan clear and accurate presentation of materials
  • Adapt the style and format of the product to the medium or publication in which it will appear
  • Performs final review of materials for technical accuracy, style, proper organization, emphasis, and editorial aspects before release
