About The Position

ProSidian Seeks a WPA Startup Support Consultant - GSSC (Time and Materials) to support an engagement for the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford in the with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal) Industry Sector - SCA Code: N/A This service supports with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal) Sector clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe’s: 1) work as part of the Engagement Team Cadre to to support requirements for The Department of Energy (DOE), Hanford Site, Waste Treatment and Immobilization Project (WTP) Performance Assurance (WPA) Project The WPA Project Lead will provide direction for this work. The successful contractor will have responsibility for execution of the itemized work scope below. Conduct and document monthly evaluations of WTP readiness oversight activities. Coordinating oversight, issue assessment, and issue resolution with multiple organizations. Communicating the status of startup and commissioning activities. Briefing management on technical issues with options for resolution and facilitating decision making. Making assessments and decisions regarding technical problems, program requirements, and risks encountered in operational readiness, startup and commissioning. Assessment report writing and technical report of writing. WPA Startup Support Consultant - GSSC Candidates shall work to support requirements for PR0099A FY22SB02 WTP Performance Assurance Support Services Swim Lanes and DELIVERABLES Support DOE readiness activities. Oversight of contractor readiness activities. Document oversight and identify compliance deviations and improvement opportunities that were observed in accordance with ORP management system procedures. Follow-up on issues, findings, and other areas of concern. Participate in meetings as required by the COD functional lead, including the preparation of meeting minutes as needed. Participate in weekly coordination meetings. Participate on Integrated Project Teams (IPT) as requested. Deliverables shall be accomplished in accordance with the directions provided by the WPA Director. All deliverables will be processed through WPA Project Lead prior to internal and/or external publication and availability.

Requirements

  • The WPA Startup Support Consultant - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management, or alternatively, an accredited high school certificate plus 8 years of specialized experience in engineering, science, or business management, in addition to the requisite experience. MS/MA or PhD degree in a relevant field is considered to be 2 and 5 years of experience, respectively.
  • Fourteen (14) years of directly applicable successful experience consulting or contributing on complex projects, including providing strategic, management, technical, or business assistance to significant projects or programs in a senior capacity and/or as a consultant.
  • Experience directly interfacing with client senior management.
  • Knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures with specific emphasis on specifically DOE O 425.1D and DOE O 413.3B.
  • Experience in commissioning a highly complex nuclear and or chemical facility with a particular focus on electrical test activities (electrical system design experience would be preferential).
  • Experience in oversight or performance with nuclear facility operations, maintenance, startup, commissioning, readiness, and training programs or processes.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting programs and projects with analysis, tracking, monitoring, assessment, review and coordination.
  • Comprehensive, professional knowledge of engineering principles and fundamentals.
  • Extensive experience using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • WPA Startup Support Consultant shall maintain proficiencies in the following via periodic training: HGET. WTP Site access. Computerized Maintenance Management System. Smart Plant Foundation and Smart Plant for Operations. WTP site qualifications including LO/TO if necessary. Roadworker training at a level to allow full facility access once the training is required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG’s designated Security Office.
  • May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement
  • Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance.
