About The Position

Wise is moving at lightning speed, and our New York office is key location in the Americas region. We’re not looking for a traditional "facilities coordinator" who only sits behind a desk and is reactive to the office needs. We need a Workplace Operations Advisor —a cultural architect and operational pro—to help us build an environment where Wisers can do the best work of their lives. You’ll be the face of the NY office, balancing the grit of day-to-day operations with the creativity of world-class employee experience. Your Mission: Our Global Workplace Team doesn't just "manage offices"—we curate spaces that fuel our mission of Money Without Borders . As an L4 advisor, you’re past the basics. You’re a proactive problem-solver who can navigate the grey areas, mentor junior talent throughout the region, and own end-to-end projects that impact our global culture. The Day-to-Day: Own the Vibe: Ensure our physical space is flawless and functional. You’ll handle the complex stuff with minimal hand-holding, making sure the office runs like a well-oiled machine. Be the Bridge: You’re the liaison between NY Wisers and the Global People team. You’ll turn feedback into action, using data and intuition to constantly level up our office experience. Spin the communication web: Own our workplace communication strategy, ensuring Wisers are always in the loop on local happenings, building updates, and epic events. Vendor Whisperer: Oversee our workplace vendors and landlords, from savvy negotiations to building rock-solid relationships. Cost-saving Crusader: Hunt for opportunities to optimize costs and streamline global vendors, helping us get closer to our Mission Zero (that's our goal for zero fees, zero hassle!). Project Powerhouse: From office moves to complex local initiatives, you’ll support our Workplace and Project Managers while taking full ownership of medium-to-large-scale projects. Mentor & Lead: While you’re based in NYC, you’ll mentor and support team members in both Austin and São Paulo. Regional Support: You’ll take on the challenge of supporting our remote workers in DC, Mexico City and beyond. Ensuring those without physical office space still feel supported. Build the Network: You’ll break out of the "workplace bubble" to build relationships across every department, solving mutual problems and aligning our space with Wise’s big-picture goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Workplace or Facilities Management (ideally in a fast-paced tech environment).
  • You’re data-literate and financially savvy. Budgeting isn't a chore; it’s a tool you use to drive efficiency.
  • You’re a master networker. You can talk to anyone, resolve conflicts, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • You’re a multitasking wizard who thrives in ambiguity. You don’t just find problems; you fix them before anyone else notices.
  • You understand how a broken coffee machine or a seating plan fits into the broader company strategy.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack and Jira (we live in these tools).
  • You’ve worked in high-growth environments and love the "build-as-you-go" energy.
