About The Position

At IAB, the workplace isn’t just an office — it’s an experience. We’re looking for a Workplace Experience & Technology Lead who takes pride in creating environments that are seamless, reliable, and people-first. This role sits at the intersection of office operations, facilities management, and end-user technology, ensuring our teams have everything they need to do their best work — every day. If you’re someone who thrives on ownership, loves solving problems before they become problems, and believes that great workplace experiences are built through intention, systems, and care — this role was built for you.

Requirements

  • You bring 5+ years of experience across facilities management, workplace operations, IT support, or a blended role
  • You’re passionate about creating great work environments and equally energized by preventive maintenance and systems thinking
  • You’re a proactive problem-solver who sees risks early and takes initiative
  • You’re customer-focused and know how to balance employee needs with operational realities
  • You’re experienced with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and building infrastructure
  • You’re cost-savvy and comfortable managing budgets, contracts, and vendors
  • You’re highly organized, process-driven, and rely on checklists, documentation, and planning
  • You communicate clearly and confidently with people at all levels
  • You thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and stay calm under pressure
  • You’re proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • You hold yourself to a high standard of accountability, integrity, and consistency
  • You have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of documented HVAC or electrical journeyman-level experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner of the office environment, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they disrupt work
  • Ensure continuous operation of all building systems including HVAC, security, plumbing, fire/life safety, and electrical
  • Partner with building management and vendors to maintain a clean, safe, functional, and welcoming office
  • Manage office supplies, furniture, inventory, mail, and package logistics
  • Support office moves, space planning, desk reconfigurations, and workplace improvements
  • Assist with health, safety, and emergency preparedness initiatives
  • Provide first-line, hands-on IT support for laptops, desktops, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and basic network issues (in-person and remote)
  • Own onboarding and off-boarding technology setup, access, and equipment recovery
  • Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, and software licensing
  • Manage user access, permissions, and basic system administration
  • Support AV and conference room technology
  • Escalate complex issues to Operations leadership or managed service providers as needed
  • Partner with People Team and Operations on onboarding, employee experience, and workplace initiatives
  • Support Events teams with shipping, equipment coordination, and onsite support for NYC-based events
  • Track and manage IT and facilities budgets, contracts, and vendors
  • Build and maintain clear documentation for office and IT processes
