Your Impact As a Workplace Experience Specialist you'll be responsible for ensuring an exceptional workplace experience in the Durham office, while also supporting the development and implementation of global workplace standards. The Workplace Experience Associate assists with day-to-day office operations, employee support, and workplace programs, working closely with the Lead and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and consistent office experiences.

Requirements

  • Proven workplace experience, experience in office operations, hospitality, or people-focused workplace services.
  • A positive, service-oriented mindset with an interest in creating a welcoming and inclusive workplace.
  • Experience supporting day-to-day office operations or employee-facing services.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage vendors and external service providers with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working with digital tools and platforms (e.g., Jira or other ticketing systems, Google Workspace, workplace tools).
  • Basic knowledge of hardware setup and light IT support, including assistance with meeting room equipment, Google Meet setup, monitors, docking stations, and troubleshooting minor workstation issues.

Responsibilities

  • Implement global workplace experience standards, programs and documentation within the Durham office, adapting them to local regulations and cultural nuances where necessary, in consultation with the Lead.
  • Manage all aspects of local office operations, including facilities management, vendor relationships (cleaning, security & safety, local catering, maintenance), and budget adherence.
  • Contribute to global workplace experience by responding to ad hoc requests, proactively administering tools and services such as travel, external vendors etc.
  • Oversee the local physical environment to ensure it is welcoming, safe, productive, and aligns with global design principles.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all workplace-related inquiries and issues for local employees.
  • Coordinate local events, employee engagement activities, and provide support for internal meetings and gatherings.
  • Manage local office supplies, equipment, and inventory.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Lead on local employee experience, operational challenges, and success stories.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain overview and ensures compliance with health and safety standards and local regulations.
