Join the curious. What You Will Do... We are seeking a Workplace Experience Specialist to play a key role in shaping the day-to-day employee experience at Ancestry’s Draper headquarters. This role is more senior than a traditional host or reception position and is designed for someone who brings proactive thinking, insight, and ownership to how the workplace operates and how employees experience it. The Workplace Experience Specialist partners closely with the Workplace Experience, Facilities & Operations Manager and the Program Manager of Workplace Experience to support and deliver workplace initiatives, programs, and daily operations. This role anticipates needs, identifies opportunities for improvement, and helps translate workplace experience strategy into meaningful, on-the-ground execution. The ideal candidate has a strong hospitality and service mindset, excellent judgment, and the ability to think beyond tasks to understand how the workplace supports culture, connection, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Create and sustain and exceptional workplace experience
  • Act as a visible, trusted presence within the headquarters, fostering connection, community, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance employee experience through space readiness, service delivery, and day-to-day interactions.
  • Ensure the office environment is welcoming, professional, and aligned with Ancestry’s culture and values. Proactive Workplace Support
  • Anticipate employee and guest needs, addressing issues before they escalate and proposing thoughtful solutions.
  • Provide insight and feedback to workplace leadership based on daily employee interactions and observations.
  • Support workplace experience initiatives, pilots, and programming led by the Program Manager of Workplace Experience. Operations & Office Readiness
  • Support daily workplace operations including reception coverage, shared spaces, meeting rooms, and amenities.
  • Manage the shipping and receiving function for the headquarters, coordinating deliveries, outbound shipments, tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure kitchens, conference rooms, and common areas are consistently well maintained, stocked, and ready for use.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, service follow-up, and issue resolution in partnership with workplace leadership.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee transitions in coordination with People and IT teams. Events, Programs & Collaboration
  • Assist in the planning and execution of on-site events, collaboration days, and engagement activities.
  • Partner with Executive Assistants, ERGs, and cross-functional teams to support meetings and gatherings.
  • Help ensure workplace programs are executed smoothly and reflect a high-quality employee experience. Continuous Improvement & Partnership
  • Contribute ideas and insights to improve workplace processes, services, and employee experience.
  • Partner closely with the Workplace Experience, Facilities & Operations Manager to ensure alignment between experience goals and daily operations.
  • Actively collaborate with the broader People & Places team to support consistent workplace standards.
