Role description: Arcadis is seeking a Designer to join our Workplace Practice Group in Houston. We are looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated individual who can help interpret, coordinate, and execute projects and processes of any scale. The candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation and documentation abilities. This role will support oil and gas workplace projects in Houston. The ability to multi-task, follow through on assignments, and meet deadlines is crucial. Additionally, strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.

Requirements

  • Professional Degree in Interior Design or a related field
  • 5-8 years of experience, with a strong background in workplace design
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in REVIT is required
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, written/verbal communication, and relationship-management skills
  • Must be geographically located in the Houston area for travel to active project sites

Nice To Haves

  • NCIDQ certification is an asset
  • LEED and/or WELL accreditation is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure design and documentation is in conformance with client’s expectations
  • Working on multiple projects, providing concepts and techniques in ways that may explore new ways of achieving design solutions, completing tasks to deadlines and effectively utilizing resources to address project requirements
  • Working with senior staff to articulate and develop initial ideas into working concepts, and actively participate in design reviews and charrettes
