The new Workplace Compliance team, in the broader Workplace Relations and Compliance unit, is responsible for providing high-quality technical advice, related to the University’s Enterprise Agreement, relevant workplace legislation and University policies (with a particular emphasis on payment and work allocation of staff). The team maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders and works with both professional and academic staff across the University to drive the prevention, early intervention and resolution of workplace compliance matters. Key priorities include the implementation and support of strategic compliance initiatives, proactive compliance monitoring and continuous improvement to ensure the University meets its compliance obligations. The Workplace Compliance Officer supports the delivery of consistent and timely technical advice on the application of the Enterprise Agreement, legislation, and University policies including in relation to provisions with pay-related outcomes. Reporting to the Senior Manager Workplace Compliance, the Workplace Compliance Officer contributes to compliance monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and the implementation of compliance systems and processes. The Workplace Compliance Officer ensures compliance with University standards, including actively engaging in analysis, interpretation, and implementation. The role also collaboratively supports strategic workplace compliance and policy initiatives.
