About The Position

Responsible for Workplace Banking and Financial Empowerment business development efforts within assigned territory, with primary focus on growing underserved (unbanked and underbanked) retail households through business to business to consumer calling activities, including but not limited to places of business, organizations and non-profits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience, including 10 years of demonstrated consistent performance in sales within financial services industry
  • Excellent sales/business development skills and presentation/communication skills
  • Strong understanding of a broad range of financial concepts, and an advanced working knowledge of retail banking strategy
  • Excellent written, verbal, problem solving, and analytical skills, as well as interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products and Salesforce

Nice To Haves

  • 15+ years of demonstrated consistent performance in sales/business development
  • Ability to speak fluent Spanish (or, other local language)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary business development officer for Workplace Banking and Financial Empowerment segment in assigned territory. Responsible for growing underserved (unbanked and underbanked) retail households through business to business to consumer sales efforts and meeting program targets; Also Serve as a key leader in developing and leading larger footprint wide Emerging Markets relationships focused on retail household growth.
  • Develop a business pipeline and conduct regular pre-planned sales calls with key decision makers in defined segment to create strategic partnerships through strong relationship management with places of business, organizations and non-profits utilizing the Bank's sales processes and strategies.
  • Execute on daily business development activities that meet behavior, sales and retention goals including effective delivery of complex marketing/group sales presentations to key consumer segment groups via strategic relationships with businesses, organizations and non-profits.
  • Develop and facilitate product account opening sessions utilizing digital and branch channels, and promote financial wellness resources for key consumer segment clients.
  • Prioritize calling efforts to achieve maximum results in alignment with organizational objectives, including prospecting and market development.
  • Responsible for continued support and reinforcement of bank strategies toward improving client service quality.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Emerging Markets segments, retail banking, operational procedures and competitive programs and products in local markets.
  • Partner to build internal reciprocal referral partnerships, deepen client relationships and increase penetration in CIG, Middle Market and Commercial client portfolios.
  • Work with Retail Community Bank Leadership partners to provide sales support, joint sales calling, and, as appropriate, and local training.
  • Actively engage in segment specific networking within local assigned territory to develop key strategic partnerships, representing the Bank through community and group/association involvement to develop contacts for potential business.
  • Proactively cultivate Centers of Influence, such as non-profit organizations/associations, Chamber of Commerce and other appropriate groups to keep an active source of referrals.
