Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with fifteen (15) years of experience in production operations with supervisory responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of workover and production operations, including production facilities design and operation.
  • Proficiency in the use of dynamometers to analyze pumping units and rod pump design, and to troubleshoot and optimize rod pumping systems.
  • Ability to accurately determine fluid levels using an Echometer or similar acoustic fluid level and well analysis equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal oil and gas regulations, with the ability to maintain accurate well files and operational records.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain on-call availability in accordance with the established schedule and respond to operational communications as required.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Lead and oversee production operations to ensure safe execution in compliance with industry standards and applicable state and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) regulations.
  • Oversee daily rig workover operations with the ability to communicate with production superintendent, production foreman, workover crews, vendors and tool hands to ensure workover operations are done safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of production, injection, workover, and completion reports, and maintain complete and accurate well files in both the field and Casper offices.
  • Coordinate Mechanical Integrity Tests (MITs) with state and federal regulatory agencies and serve as the primary field contact for regulatory inspections and compliance matters.
  • Lead and oversee equipment maintenance and repair activities, manage chemical treatment programs (including scale, corrosion, paraffin, and oil treating), and ensure accurate and timely monthly production and injection reporting for assigned fields.
  • Direct the planning, scheduling, and supervision of workover and completion operations.
  • Directly supervises pumpers, field personnel, and contractors.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities consistent with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
