Working Team Leader - Rigid Fabrication (2nd Shift)
About The Position
The Working Team Lead maintains the production schedule in assigned section by effectively guiding the workforce, interpreting section policies and procedures and utilizing company computer software and approved drawings. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Targets and focuses on the top three operational priorities of the company: Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Understands and adheres to the FMH Conveyors, LLC Company Handbook. Understands and adheres to Section Policies and Procedures. Must have detailed knowledge of all production processes of assigned section. Must have the ability to perform activities utilizing all machinery and equipment in assigned section. Must have the ability to examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications. Leads by example and works well with other team members. Ensures proper cross training of associates within section is being accomplished. Recommends measures to improve section production methods and effectiveness of section. Work with each associate in the section to provide the opportunity for each step progression to be met. (cross training, etc.)
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
- Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work/processes
- Learns quickly when facing new problems; open to change; strives for continuous improvement of self and processes.
- Excellent communication (oral and written)
- Ability to perform basic math including use of whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Must be able to read a tape measure and read simple blue prints.
- Knowledge of production
- Experience with lean concepts and tools
- Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills
