About The Position

The 2nd Shift Supervisor for Custodial Services is responsible for the daily supervision, coordination, and support of custodial operations across all district buildings during evening hours. This position ensures that all facilities are clean, safe, secure, and properly maintained to support the educational mission of the district. The supervisor provides leadership to approximately 55 custodial employees working across 14 district buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with tenant(s) on facility issues as required.
  • Interface with Client representatives and the Site Manager on items affecting tenants and the facility.
  • Act as backup/fill-in for any other facility staff (as needed).
  • Manage specific tasks assigned by the Customer Leadership and Site Manager.
  • Assign, schedule, and oversee evening custodial staff across district facilities.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure cleaning standards and safety protocols are being met.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as necessary to maintain performance and morale.
  • Participate in the training of new custodial employees.
  • Inspect buildings and grounds to ensure compliance with district cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Address custodial issues promptly, including spills, repairs, or safety concerns.
  • Conduct BBP audits.
  • Coordinate custodial coverage for evening events, athletic functions, and community use of facilities.
  • Report maintenance needs and safety hazards to the Custodial Manager.
  • Assist in developing and updating cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety practices.
  • Serve as the primary evening point of contact for custodial staff, administrators, and building principals.
  • Communicate regularly with Custodial Manager.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies or urgent cleaning/maintenance needs as required.
