About The Position

We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with an opening for a 2nd Shift Truck/Trailer Working Shop Foreman at our Scanlon MN location. We are looking for someone detail oriented, with good computer skills, trailer repair experience, customer service skills and a desire to develop a team. You would be responsible for shift operations; supervision and development of techs; partnering with customers. Awarded Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces 6 years in a row. Responsibilities

Assisting mechanics in locating parts / job related issues / assist techs with repairs
Scheduling shift work
Performs routine servicing repairs on heavy Truck and Trailers; corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units; Diagnose trouble, disassemble engine and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
Calling in customer repairs and approvals/ unit updates, assist with billing and repair orders
Leadership skillset assisting mechanics
Organizing shift with picking up parts and vehicles for repair
30% shop work, 70% office work
Invoice repair orders in a timely manner
Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
