About The Position
ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE WORKING FOREMAN-SHOP/FLEET DEPARTMENT: Highway HIRING RANGE: $32.69-$36.34/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, must be at least 18 years of age
- Possession of and ability to maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements and safe driving record
- Working knowledge of standard bookkeeping practices and principles with ability to manage Department finances
- Leadership and Supervisory skills
- Practical knowledge of assigned Department trucks and equipment with ability to maintain roads and highways, complete related maintenance, and follow safety measures
- Ability to respond to emergencies from an off-duty status
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen
