Alliance for Workforce Development, Inc. is seeking a Workforce Specialist to lead services at our small but mighty Quincy Workforce Center . You’ll be the first face guests see—providing assistance in our workforce center and tracking visitors/services, assessing individuals for program eligibility for all programs, providing case management, and building relationships with businesses, partners, and community organizations. Scope and Range of Responsibility: The Workforce Specialist will provide career exploration services to individuals looking for employment or retraining. The incumbent will work to evaluate a client’s background, training and education in order to help the client develop realistic career goals as well. The Workforce Specialist will job develop with local businesses to provide employment opportunities for clients. The incumbent will answer general questions regarding the operations of AFWD and partner agencies. As appropriate, refer clients to the EDD, Adult Education, or other appropriate partners to meet the needs of job seekers and businesses. Organizational Structure: The Workforce Specialist’s immediate supervisor is the Program Manager, who is responsible for WIOA programs throughout AFWD’s service area. The Program Supervisor and or Operations Manager will provide direction, supervise the quality of work, manage the quantity of work, and provide training and evaluation of the incumbent’s position responsibilities.
