About The Position

This position works to bridge the gap between incarceration and employment for justice-involved individuals. These specialists are responsible for developing individualized employment plans, building industry partnerships, and providing career coaching to help returning citizens secure stable jobs.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in social service, criminal justice, or a related discipline

Responsibilities

Developing individualized employment, training, and education plans, often starting within 1 month of a person’s release.
Building networks with employers to create job opportunities, apprenticeships, or pre-apprenticeship programs specifically for justice-involved individuals.
Conducting assessments, workshops, and training on work readiness, resume building, and interview preparation with correctional facilities.
Assisting with job retention, providing ongoing coaching, and helping with immediate needs like obtaining identification documents.
Collaborating with community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, and American Job Centers.
Keep accurate progress notes and monthly reviews in accordance with the client’s treatment plan.
Any other duties assigned.
