About the Position Responsible for processing companywide contingent labor transactions in the vendor management system (VMS). Responsible for managing the contingent labor supplier management system (VMS) to ensure appropriately qualified individuals are recruited on time to fill roles as requisitioned by assigned operations throughout the company. Ensures full lifecycle management of contingent labor from requisition through invoicing and supplier performance. Executes applicable procurement strategies to grow and develop both internal and supplier relationships. Functions Evaluate and manage supplier performance across fulfillment, recruiting, compliance, service levels, and key operational metrics; provide strategic direction, coaching, and corrective action to drive continuous improvement. Exercise discretion to allocate and re‑allocate orders among suppliers, assess supplier capability and risk, and recommend supplier changes or terminations to ensure operational continuity and protect business interests. Oversee supplier recruiting and fulfillment performance across assigned divisions or branches, implementing corrective actions to ensure quality, timeliness, and alignment with business needs. Review, modify, and approve contingent labor requisitions in accordance with governance standards, business priorities, and budgetary guidelines. Ensure supplier compliance with background checks, drug screenings, employment eligibility verification, and related requirements; address noncompliance through structured performance management. Partner cross‑functionally with HR, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to resolve timekeeping, invoicing, and operational issues through root‑cause analysis and process improvement. Support and provide leadership for site startup and shutdown initiatives, ensuring supplier readiness, risk mitigation, and alignment with organizational objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by analyzing business needs, championing change initiatives, driving automation and workflow improvements, and providing actionable recommendations to improve productivity and service delivery. Perform other duties and lead special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in staffing, human resources, supplier management, procurement, or a related operational or analytical role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise systems (e.g., VMS, HRIS, ERP) and the ability to analyze data to support operational and business decisions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce reports and presentations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply operational, policy, and procedural documentation and independently prepare professional reports and written communications.
  • Strong attention to detail with a process driven mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities while exercising sound judgment.
