Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship. Purpose The WCI Coordinator is part of the University’s HR Services team. As a WCI Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of that mission, as the first line of support for staff who are injured on the job, collaborating with other professionals with a common purpose to provide empathetic care and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in HR administration, including experience handling Workers Compensation Insurance cases or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workers Compensation Insurance systems such as ICE.
  • Experience working with insurance adjusters.
  • Experience with Workday and with service delivery platforms such as Service Now and Amazon Connect.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Be the Bridge: Serve as a highly organized coordination point between employees, insurance adjusters, leave management and departmental HR. You’ll provide clear, compassionate guidance regarding first report of injury and any requisite actions (return to work and light duty coordination, leave election forms, treatment locations, claim guidance, etc.).
  • Drive Engagement: Lead, support and facilitate training sessions regarding WCI and empower departmental HR with educational tools to help demystify WCI and empower employees to make informed decisions.
  • Champion Innovation: Use technology like DocuSign and ServiceNow and other systems to streamline processes and improve the employee experience.
  • Deliver Insight: Prepare reports and HR analytics that audit for compliance, track customer data and enhance our programs.
