About The Position

Envision Benefits Group is proud to partner with a well-established health care organization in Western New York to identify a skilled and compassionate Workers’ Compensation Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity. What You'll Do In this role, you’ll take ownership of the full workers’ compensation lifecycle, acting as a trusted resource for both employees and leadership. This position plays a critical role in ensuring employees feel supported during some of the most challenging moments in their employment journey, while also protecting organizational compliance and integrity. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in HR, claims management, case management, or a similar field
  • Working knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, ADA, and related regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Guide employees and managers through workers’ compensation, leave laws, and disability benefits
  • Manage the return-to-work process, including transitional duty assignments
  • File and manage First Reports of Injury accurately and on time
  • Coordinate communication between injured employees, medical providers, and third-party vendors
  • Track and document claims within workers’ compensation systems
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with employees during recovery
  • Partner with vendors, including attending quarterly claim reviews
  • Coordinate investigations when needed, including site visits and documentation
  • Recommend updates to leave policies to ensure ongoing legal compliance
