About The Position

Care for our community, and your career. Claim Processing: Ensuring timely and accurate processing of workers' compensation claims. Gathering, reviewing, and verifying claim-related documentation. Communicating with employees, medical providers, and insurance adjusters. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and organized records of workers' compensation claims. Ensuring confidentiality of employee information. Employee Support: Providing guidance and support to injured employees regarding the workers' compensation process. Assisting employees in navigating the system and accessing benefits. Risk Management: Identifying and addressing potential risks that could lead to workplace injuries. Participating in safety programs and initiatives. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing claim data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Preparing reports and presentations on workers' compensation program performance. Training and Education: Providing training to supervisors and employees on workers' compensation procedures. Staying current on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Experience in workers' compensation administration, claims processing, or a related field is typically required.
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation insurance policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software and data management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., human resources, business administration) is often preferred, but not always required.
