Position The claims department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster handling both Utah and Nevada claims . This posting is open to internal and external candidates. This is a full-time, hybrid/remote (based on location), exempt position available to qualified candidates near Sandy, UT, St. George, UT, or resides in N evada . For hybrid schedules, candidates will complete required in ‑ person training and then transition to a schedule that includes three in ‑ office days each week.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Workers Compensation disability adjusting experience .
• A thorough understanding of the Utah or Nevada's Workers' Compensation and Occupational Disease Acts, the Utah or Nevada Fair Claims Practices Act, Utah Labor Commission or State of Nevada Department of Business & Industry Industrial Relations (DIR) rules and procedures, and WCF's established internal claims standards.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Superb communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail, polished investigative abilities, and first-rate organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates residing outside of Nevada must obtain a Nevada insurance license within 45 days of hire, as required by state law.
• Ability to hire at the Senior WC Adjuster or the Associate WC Adjuster level.
• An internal candidate should have six months in their current position , have acceptable job performance , and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.

Responsibilities

• The Workers' Compensation Adjuster manages claims from start to finish, including investigating, documenting, and determining coverage and liability for industrial ‑ accident and occupational ‑ disease claims.
• This role involves thorough review of medical records and supporting documentation to effectively manage the medical and disability components of each claim.
• The adjuster works closely with injured workers, policyholders, agents, providers, vendors, internal WCF departments, the Utah and Nevada Labor Commission, and other stakeholders to ensure injured workers receive appropriate benefits under all relevant statutory and regulatory guidelines.
• The selected candidate will handle both Utah and Nevada workers' compensation claims.

• The expected salary range for a Senior WC Adjuster is between $88,000 and $111,000 , while a WC Adjuster can expect to earn between $77,000 and $97,000 .
