About The Position

The Workers’ Compensation Administrator leads the company’s workers’ compensation program from injury reporting through claim resolution and return-to-work. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all workers’ compensation claims and works closely with the various departments to support accident investigations, ensure compliance, and reduce future risk. Operating in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment, this position requires strong organization, responsiveness, and the ability to think quickly and critically. While not a strategic role, this position is expected to identify trends, offer practical solutions to reduce claims, and proactively support a culture of safety and accountability.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in workers’ compensation, claims administration, HR, safety, or related field
  • Working knowledge of workers’ compensation laws, reporting requirements, and claims processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active claims
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator and lead contact for all workers’ compensation claims
  • Report injuries to insurance carriers/TPAs promptly and ensure timely documentation
  • Manage and track all open claims from initial report through closure
  • Coordinate communication between injured employees, supervisors, Safety Manager, HR, medical providers, and adjusters
  • Monitor treatment plans, work restrictions, and claim progress
  • Ensure compliance with state reporting requirements and deadlines
  • Create and maintain OSHA recordkeeping and compliance reporting
  • Partner with Safety and Management on accident and incident investigations
  • Identify recurring injury patterns and communicate findings to HR, Operations, and Safety.
  • Assist in developing practical solutions that reduce risk exposure and claim frequency
  • Facilitate modified duty and transitional work assignments
  • Partner with managers to identify appropriate light-duty opportunities
  • Monitor compliance with medical restrictions
  • Support safe, timely return-to-work processes
  • Track and analyze claim trends, costs, and recurring risk areas
  • Prepare reports to include, but not limited to, overall claims, claim by type, claim by tenure, etc.
  • Provide practical, actionable suggestions to decrease frequency and severity of claims
  • Think creatively and act quickly to resolve claim-related challenges
  • Maintain accurate records and provide reporting as needed
