Workday Testing Lead Operations & Policy Analyst 4 Oregon Department of Administrative Services This limited duration position is scheduled to last through June 30, 2027, and may be extended based on funding and workload need. What You’ll Do As the Workday Testing Lead, you will: Design and manage testing strategies for Workday system changes; oversee test execution, troubleshooting, and defect resolution. Partner with Workday administrators, SMEs, and business analysts to analyze impacts, coordinate testing, and validate solutions. Validate that all releases meet requirements before going live. Use root cause analysis and lessons learned to refine testing processes and improve system reliability. Manage the automated regression testing suite to identify gaps, build new test cases, and support automation goals. Respond to inquiries from leadership and external oversight agencies with clear documentation, reports, and presentations. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
  • OR; Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work experience.
  • Experience must include planning, coordinating, or executing large-scale testing efforts across complex systems and multiple teams. This experience must be evident in your resume.

Nice To Haves

  • Managing and creating test plans and testing groups
  • Strong knowledge of Oregon state government structure and operations (all branches)
  • Expertise in modern testing management and documentation best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively train others in both small and large group settings
  • Experience in writing reports, ideally within Workday
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data management
  • General knowledge of process improvement tools (e.g., Lean, RPI events)
  • Deep understanding of SaaS systems; Workday experience strongly preferred
