About The Position

The Workday Product Manager, ERP (Finance) is responsible for defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap for the Workday Financial Management suite. This role serves as the primary liaison between the finance business team and IT/technical teams, ensuring the Workday platform effectively supports and drives financial business objectives. The Product Manager will collaborate with the Workday HCM Product Manager to ensure seamless, end-to-end process integration across the organization.

Requirements

  • Deep functional knowledge of Workday Financials, including core modules such as Financial Management, Spend Management, and Financial Planning.
  • Proven experience in a product management role, including developing product roadmaps, managing backlogs, and leading agile development processes.
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable business insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • A natural collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to address complex system and business issues efficiently.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience will be accepted.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Workday Financials functional, systems analyst, or product management role.
  • Experience with Agile or similar product development methodologies is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Workday Extend, Workday Prism, or Workday Adaptive is a plus.
  • Workday certifications are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a product roadmap for Workday Financials, aligning with the company's financial strategy and business goals.
  • Work with finance stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements for new features, enhancements, and system improvements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the IT and development teams.
  • Lead the planning and execution of Workday feature releases, upgrades, and system enhancements, including planning for testing and user acceptance.
  • Own and manage the Workday Financials product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized and groomed to deliver maximum value to the business.
  • Collaborate with the Workday HCM Product Manager to identify and resolve dependencies, ensuring a cohesive and integrated Workday platform.
  • Ensure the system configuration adheres to internal controls, audit requirements, and financial compliance standards.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to users, and act as a subject matter expert for Workday Financial modules.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for automation and process efficiency.
