About The Position

General Atlantic is looking to hire a Workday Integration Lead in our New York Office. The Integration Lead for Workday Finance, HCM and Payroll is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing integrations between Workday modules and other systems, as well as support and enhance our Extend applications. This role requires technical expertise in Workday's integration capabilities, financial processes, payroll management, and HCM, as well as strong functional knowledge of the same subject areas, to support thoughtful, sustainable implementations and smooth ongoing operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring cross-system data integrity and enabling clean data flow between Workday and third-party applications. Our current Workday footprint includes Workday’s core HCM & Finance modules, PRISM and Extend. The role requires active collaboration with end user stakeholders in our Human Capital and Finance teams, as well as within IT with our Product Management, Data Engineering, Infrastructure/Security and interfacing application teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday integration experience, including Studio, Orchestrations, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, REST, and SOAP
  • Strong understanding of Workday data model and business processes across Multiple Workday Modules (HCM, Finance, Payroll, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Security)
  • 4+ years of experience with complex reports, calculated fields, and business process design
  • 3+ years of experience with data transformation, validation, and integration error handling
  • Proficient in XML, XSLT, JSON, XSD, and integration debugging techniques
  • Strong experience with API authentication, encryption, certificates (x509/PGP), and SFTP/data exchange frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Extend or familiarity with developing custom apps that enhance Workday functionality
  • Prior experience working in global environments with complex integration landscapes
  • This role requires occasional availability outside of traditional working hours to address urgent business needs as they arise, including, but not limited to, responding to security incidents, supporting software deployments, resolving software issues or system breaks, and addressing other critical operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end integration design and delivery - including technical design, development, configuration, validation, and deployment of Workday integrations using Studio, Orchestrations, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, and REST/SOAP APIs with external platforms such as payroll providers, benefits administrators, and internal data services
  • Manage data mapping, transformation, and validation processes across inbound and outbound integrations ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance
  • Oversee integration lifecycle management, code migration, and production hyper care
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on Workday integration best practices and design patterns, collaborating with HR, IT, and business stakeholders
  • Prepare for and lead activities around Workday releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and adoption of new integration or Extend features
  • Build, test, and deploy integration business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, and data transformations to support operational workflows
  • Support a limited set of non-Workday integrations (Greenhouse, HireVue, etc.)
  • Drive automation through Workday Extend applications to enhance usability and streamline business activities
