This position is located in Ridgeland, MS. This is not a remote position. We are seeking a detail-oriented Workday Financial Systems Specialist to support our accounting and finance operations. This role will assist in enhancements and ongoing maintenance of the Workday Financial system as well as researching and resolving integration errors, building and maintaining financial reports, and facilitating the month-end and annual close to ensure data accuracy. Additional querying and analysis will be required on an as needed basis. The person in this role will work with various areas of the organization to understand business needs and will assist the Financial Systems Manager - Workday in support of the Workday Financial system. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working cross-functionally to support accurate financial data and reporting. A background in accounting or financial system administration is preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Majoring in Finance, Accounting, IT or related field

Responsibilities

  • Stay up-to-date on Workday features and enhancements that could benefit the organization.
  • Use a combination of business knowledge and Workday systems knowledge to propose, configure, test and deploy fixes and enhancements.
  • Research, analyze, and assist in resolving financial system and data integration errors.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance recurring and ad hoc financial reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by validating data accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting team members to ensure alignment and data consistency.
  • Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication across the accounting and other departments.
  • Document findings, processes, and resolutions related to reporting and integrations.
  • Assist with financial analysis to support business decisions and operational improvements.
  • Assist in development and implementation of user training for current and new systems; and knowledge sharing to associates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data reliability.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
