About The Position

The FDM Finance Implementation Team Lead position leads the implementation and configuration of the Financial Data Model (FDM) in Workday. Conducts working sessions with stakeholders to gather, understand, and analyze business needs and internal and external reporting requirements that influence how their FDM structure should be structured and mapped. Ensures the engagement of all relevant parties in the process, including process owners, subject matter experts, end-users, and other stakeholders, and responds to questions and inquiries from stakeholders as needed. The FDM Lead configures FDM values and hierarchies in Workday and collaborates closely with stakeholders to translate legacy data and reporting requirements into the FDM structure. Reviews and unit tests FDM-related business processes, reports, and security roles to ensure accuracy and alignment with business requirements. Works closely with other team leads and business partners to assess and manage cross-functional impact. Develops and executes FDM-related test scenarios, identifies and records defects, collaborates with the implementation partner to remediate defects and retest functionality, and maintains test metrics. This position collaborates with stakeholders, process owners, and the implementation partner to facilitate the mapping of the legacy chart of accounts to the future state FDM structure. Enters and maintains FDM mapping data using various support and configuration tools. Assess FDM data quality and facilitate data clean-up as needed. Facilitates and supports the use of FDM mapping by other project teams. Validates the accuracy of the FDM data conversion. The incumbent maintains an understanding of the current project plan, including key milestones and deliverable dates. Communicates team status to project leadership on a timely basis. Provides input into the system cut-over plan and stakeholder communications. Supports the development and implementation of FDM governance processes. Participates in communicating changes and assists the Change Management project team in developing end-user training and job aids.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
