About The Position

Job Summary: Category A – Employees not directly impacting patient care FLSA: Exempt Job Purpose: The primary purpose of the Data System Administrator position is to plan, coordinate, implement and maintain information systems for Supply Chain. Plans projects, develops timelines, and provides leadership and direction for overall systems management. Works closely with the Finance, I/T and A/P departments to maintain the integration of systems. Works closely with procurement and warehousing staff to ensure the integrity of Materials Management systems. Provides all daily technical support of MMIS, EDI and fax server data systems. Plans and provides leadership and direction for system upgrades and other system activities. Creates complex query tools and reports based on requests from leadership as necessary. Plans and directs system enhancements in tandem with Supply Chain leadership. Works with software vendors to resolve issues when issues arise. Acts as SQL Server Administrator when necessary. Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. Requirements

  • Bachelor degree preferred; five years experience implementing and maintaining MMIS may be substituted for college degree.
  • Material Management Information System Skills: Strong experience with Workday Supply Chain software, EDI, e-Sourcing, etc.
  • PC Skills: Strong experience with spreadsheet, word processing, Power Point, Access, etc.
  • Experience with fast-paced environments in which several activities are occurring simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and participation skills.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Materials Management data and reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday experience preferred.
