About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent work study student position available in the College of Business Administration, Student Success Center. Days/Hours Position available on or after October 1, 2025 and ending on or before May 22, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance. Job Description/Duties Duties include but are not limited to: Answer emails and telephone calls, and greet walk-in guests Organize office space. Assist with appointments and event registration, as well as serve as a referral to university departments and resources. Assist with the development and review of marketing materials (flyers, emails, etc.) and social media content. Assist with New Student Advising and Registration and New Student Orientation in various aspects such as preparing materials for orientation, assisting new students with classes and registration items. Serve as a triage to business administration students who visit the Student Success Center, providing information on general education and major requirements, university forms, as well as provide resources for career and academic resources. Assist with administrative work as needed; this may including maintaining spreadsheets, copying, or scanning documents, etc. Assist with planning and/or executing Student Success Center Events, i.e. Women's Leadership Forum, Meet the Firms Night, and workshops. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Student must be familiar with university general education and Business Administration degree requirements, as well as the campus offices and resources
  • Must be available to attend and/ or assist with the following mandatory trainings, meetings and events: -Anticipated Start Date/Training: November 1st -SSC Meetings -New Student Orientations (January, June/July)
  • Ability to work week days (M-F) between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm, minimum 10 hours a week

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).
  • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent is enrolled at CSU Stanislaus as a Business Administration Major, and is at Sophomore or Junior academic standing.
  • Professional, dependable and punctual with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess strong leadership and self-motivation skills, including problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
