About The Position

In coordination with the Performance & Configuration Branch Manager, the supervisor will assist in providing leadership, planning, and scheduling to the Planner/Schedulers, Production Control Clerks, and other assigned staff. This may include the supervision of bargaining unit staff. The Supervisor, Work Control will utilize all Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) processes as required to meet contract work activities. The incumbent supervises the call center personnel and CMMS production control personnel to provide courteous, prompt, and effective service to all customers; internal/external. The incumbent will collaborate with facilities services personnel to schedule and package work activities to maximize work efficiencies while minimizing contract resources. This exempt position is located at the NASA/White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces NM. We offer a competitive wage, leave/health benefits, and 401K. Requirements

  • Position requires a two (2) year degree in the field of Business or related field with four (4) years’ experience in planning/scheduling and/or related to the statement of duties and responsibilities for a total of six (6) years or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and directs all work schedules and work performed by staff members to include supervising, training, determining work priorities, assigning/reviewing work, and addressing performance issues.
  • Facilities design and construction management which may include planning, financial management, budget preparation and reporting, field inspection, estimating and multiple project coordination.
  • Assists in managing all incoming work orders and maintenance activities from customer, to include distributing, tracking, data logging, filing, reporting, and archiving.
  • Ensures Planner/Schedulers are providing product(s) that include job estimates and work packages ready for execution.
  • Collaborates with Planner/Schedulers to provide creativity and judgement in devising approaches to accomplish work, resolve design and operational problems, and make decisions in situations whereby standard engineering methods, procedures & techniques may not be applicable.
  • Assists with compiling, coordinating, reviewing, and processing a large range of contract required records, reports, and submittals. Provide analysis by extracting data from CMMS.
  • Inspects and diagnoses problems to determine corrective actions which will ensure a high level of professional, courteous customer service delivery at all times.
  • Plans and determines work priorities, including allocation/assignment of CMMS activities.
  • Ensures accuracy of incoming work order data and proper classification of work order tickets prior to forwarding them to appropriate departments for execution.
  • Conducts random inspections to review work while in progress. Ensure procedures are being followed while meeting the highest level of customer service standards.
  • Interfaces with external and internal customers, as required, maximizing productivity, and minimizing lost time in a professional, pleasant, and courteous manner.
  • Reviews correspondence and communication from customers, such as customer survey results, and other inquiries and responds to them in a timely fashion with professional and intelligent responses.
  • Responsible for staff members’ timesheets and leave balances; Reviewing timesheets for accuracy; Reviewing leave requests; Ensuring staff members are using leave in accordance with policies
  • Direct oversight of all staff members; completing annual reviews; mentoring and coaching staff as needed; maintaining accurate employee records throughout the term of the contract.
  • Ensures all staff adhere to the safety policies and procedures; scheduling safety trainings as required; holding staff members accountable; promoting a high emphasis on safety.
  • Interacts with other teams to coordinate work, quality, and safety standards.
  • May occasionally be required to operate Customer and Company-owned motor vehicles.
