About The Position

AbleLight’s Woodworker creates, using stationery and power tools, high quality, original products that showcase artistic style and craftsmanship, including home décor and custom orders. Work with various materials, ensuring proper techniques are followed to achieve desired results. Work is accomplished as part of a team and independently.

Requirements

• Proficiency in various crafting techniques and tools, including power tools with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage and communicate with clients to understand needs and preferences for customization.
• Communicate and collaborate with other artisans and team members to complete projects, sharing skills and techniques and create positive team environment.
• Experience in various crafting techniques and tools, including power and hand tools.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent Motor Vehicle Record and Current Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Use woodworking tools such as power saws, routers and sanders, planers, lathe chop and table saws, chisels as well as basic hand tools to construct wooden furniture, home décor, and craft items according to specifications.
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, accuracy and finishing quality.
• Develop new designs and improve existing production incorporate creativity and technical skills.
• Accurately use measuring tools such as a tape measurer, calipers, gauges, and compass.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
• Ensure workshop safety and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other team members to achieve project goals and work with other staff in the assembly, finishing, wrapping, and shipping of products.
• Engage with customers individually, at craft fairs, etc.
