About The Position

The Woodworker Lead will oversee and maintain accurate production tracking to support operational efficiency, while reviewing the team's out put for quality control. This role is also responsible for running the CN machine, documenting the number of turns completed, recording good versus defective bats, noting the wood types used, and identifying the product channel for each item produced.

Requirements

• Familiar with Microsoft BC and comfortable working in the program.
• Familiar with Microsoft products and has general computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years experience in wood bat production, finishing, and shipping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily production activities of assigned staff.
• Plans, assign and coordinate workload across the team.
• May need to lead a team without the supervisor present on the same shift.
• Primary QC on all products before being completed.
• Products being worked on are generally artistic pieces, consistent quality is a must.
• Extremely detail-oriented work involving laying combinations of vinyl, waterslide, and paint.
• Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Maintain continuity between work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure the team is properly stocked.
• Train and mentor production staff in the use of equipment and processes.
• Clean and Maintain machinery in work area.

• Track and report quantity of turns, good vs bad bats, wood type used, and product channel.
• Work on Professional, website, and other valuable bats that required big attention to detail.
