About The Position

The Content Specialist is responsible for producing assets to support the marketing efforts of Woodward Copper. This includes asset generation (gathering primarily photo with the ability to help with video), asset organization, and coordinating video shoots. The Content Specialist may also be asked to assist with management of camp GoPros and other camp technology items. This person must be motivated to capture, edit and produce content related all aspects of the Woodward Summer Camp experience including the Barn, Terrain Parks, and Camp Activities.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. of material when necessary.
  • Intermediate or higher skiing and/or riding ability
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Must be an experienced skier/rider with own equipment including industry certified helmet.
  • Must be willing to adhere to Copper’s grooming standards.
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Nice To Haves

  • Must have in depth knowledge of snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, biking, or action sports tricks, progressions, and terminology
  • Experience around action sports and trampolines is preferred
  • Experience working in a Camp environment is preferred
  • College degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent job experience
  • Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Please note, you will need to include 3 letters of reference, highlighting character and why suitable to work with children.
  • CPR/First aid certification preferred
  • Bachelors/Graduate degree in related field or two to three years of related experience
  • Established photography portfolio, including action and lifestyle content.
  • Videography and editing skills/portfolio preferred, not required
  • Photo editing experience with Adobe (Photoshop and Lightroom)
  • Video editing experience with Adobe Premiere a plus
  • Experience working with Mac computers
  • Professional working knowledge of modern cameras and accessories/equipment
  • Basic working knowledge of social media and video hosting sites
  • Experience working with stakeholders to achieve an end product that all parties are happy with
  • Adaptable and professional in youth camp and adult camp settings

Responsibilities

  • Manage time effectively in order to capture all necessary items on Woodward’s shot list
  • Capture, log, and edit all aspects of Woodward Copper Summer Camp including campers, visiting pros, and events
  • Work closely with the Content Coordinator and other Woodward staff to support marketing messages and capture all of the various content needs
  • Work with the Content Team to publish content to the web
  • Assist with the video/photo management system- properly name, tag, categorize, and store all digital assets
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Report back to Content Coordinator on project timeframes and priorities
  • Work with Content Team to achieve similar “look” to all footage and photography
  • Work with Content Coordinator to schedule all necessary shoots
  • Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper “culture” with our guests and employees.
