Wonder Coach, Part-Time $1,000 Hiring Bonus QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED Minimum of one year of experience working with youth over the age of 5 and their families Experience in coaching, social or human services, or education Preferred experience in developing community partnerships, with a minimum of one year and a preference for two years of experience ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Position Specific Support and Relationship Building Provide guidance to Guides to ensure the development of strong relationships between Guides, Explorers, Caregivers and Community Partners Serve as a positive role model, taking the lead in supporting the ongoing Guide/Explorer relationship Act as a critical supporter by providing assistance, structure, and coaching to Guides. Conduct and document regular check-ins with Guides, Explorers, Caregivers and Community Partners Identify and analyze problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and make recommendations based on relevance and accuracy of information Maintain essential program statistics, information, and files Ensure Guide compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards Keep Wonder Staff and County Social Workers updated on the Guide/Explorer relationship and any relevant issues or events (e.g., court decisions, placement changes) Seek additional resources on behalf of Guides/Explorers as needed Maintain open communication with the team members to discuss relationship progress and address specific situations Program Responsibilities Collaborate with Wonder staff to provide coaching to Wonder Guides/Explorers Facilitate match coordination of volunteers and youth Recruit Guides and Explorers Facilitate Guide and Explorer interviews Conduct Guides orientation and training Interview County Social Workers and/or Explorer caregivers as necessary Document any Guides or Explorer incidents Event Coordination Facilitate Wonder events Plan, coordinate, and prepare events for both youth and volunteers Partnership Development Build strategic partnerships with community-based organizations to support the program Author Wonder newsletter and blog posts to promote outreach and recruitment Database Management Manage all pertinent documents for Wonder Guides and Explorer Utilize agency database documentation Coordinate the referral process from applications to interviews to final assessment. Youth Engagement Identify and develop youth leadership opportunities Agency Specific Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the principles and values of the agency, while adhering to applicable professional codes of ethics, agency Policies and Procedures, state and federal laws and County Mental Health Plan requirements Model and communicate appropriate positive attitudes toward agency Mission, Vision, and Values Work collaboratively with all agency programs and staff to provide support as needed Utilize and maintain Microsoft Outlook calendar with all work-related details in order to manage time effectively and share calendar information with coworkers Participate in on-going training to expand and develop professional skills Perform other duties as necessary for the agency, as assigned Employment At-Will Employment at the Agency is terminable at-will, which means that employment may be terminated at any time, without cause or reason, by either the employee or the Agency.
