This position is for an Athletic Coach, specifically a Head Coach, who will assist the board in fulfilling its obligations to students and staff, operating beyond the duties of a classroom teacher. The coach reports to the school principal and athletic director. Key responsibilities include ensuring thorough knowledge and implementation of all athletic policies, school system, state, and conference regulations. The role involves establishing the fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques for the sports program, training and developing staff, and maintaining discipline and morale. The coach will also assist the Athletic Director with scheduling, transportation, and event preparation, manage equipment, ensure athlete well-being and academic conduct, and handle injury protocols. Furthermore, the position requires participation in budgeting, promoting the sport within and outside the school, and maintaining positive public relations with various stakeholders.
