Job Overview The Comprehensive Perinatal Health Worker (CPHW) is responsible for providing perinatal and newborn education and one-on-one counseling services delivered through the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program(CPSP). The CPHW develops and structures a seamless interface among these varied services to provide easy access to our patients. The CPHW represents the clinic in all matters dealing with the delivery of these services and works closely with the Clinic Director, Women’s Health Director, Medical Providers, and Nursing staff to develop and implement the goals and objectives of the various programs and services represented.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant diploma required from an accredited school, and a minimum of one year of OB/GYN experience.
  • Experience with referrals.
  • Training and experience in venipuncture.
  • EHR proficiency.
  • A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Family Planning Health Worker is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, depending on population being served.
